The BYOC Mouse is a modified version of the original Proco RAT. It has level, distortion, and filter knobs just like the original, and a 4th presence knob. This is a popular mod for the RAT circuit. It is ofter referred to as the "Ruetz mod". It also has a 3-way clipping switch. It has silicon clipping, like the original RAT, LED clipping like the Turbo RAT, and Germanium clipping for an even more saturated fuzzy RAT sound. Comes with an NOS LM308 chip just like the original for that vintage RAT tone.

The Orange Distortion is a clone of the original Boss DS-1 Distortion, nothing like the horrible cheap reissues available today. The Orange Distortion uses the same Toshiba TA7136P chip that was in the original, not available for more than 20 years. Playing the Orange Distortion makes you realize why the vintage DS-1 is a legendary pedal and loved by guitar heroes such as Joe Satriani and Steve Vai. Built to the same specs as the original with addition of a PreGain control for further control of the gain structure. The Orange Distortion delivers the same tone as the original DS-1 with more tonal flexibility.

Sometimes there's a thin line between what's an overdrive, what's a fuzz, and what's a distortion. The Marshall Shredmaster is definitely a full on 80's heavy metal distortion. But it also has the dynamics to pull off a very nice overdrive tone as well. The BYOC Shredder kit packs all the tone of the original pedal with volume, gain, bass, treble, and contour knobs into a box that is half the size of the original... and with true bypass. It's voiced to turn even a 6 watt open back combo with an 8" speaker into wall of Marshall full stacks. It's like having a JCM series in a box. Rock on!
